Join the Del Ray community as we light the community Christmas tree and Menorah!  Events are free and located at the Pat Miller Neighborhood Square on the corner of Mt. Vernon Avenue and East Oxford Avenue, and along Mt. Vernon Avenue

• Enjoy thousands of luminarias along Mt. Vernon Avenue
  
• Sing holiday carols at the Del Ray Farmer’s Market
  
• Sit on Santa’s lap and have a photo taken (please note that last year's pictures were finished by around 7 pm).
  
• Visit businesses that will be open late for shoppers and offering holiday specials and check out the hand-painted holiday windows
  
• Enjoy special performances by the T.C. Williams High School Choir

In the spirit of the holidays, we are collecting needed items for Carpenter's Shelter. Please bring any of the following to the Holiday Kick-Off and drop in the marked boxes:

• Full-size lotions
• Full-size soaps and/or body wash
• Men's and Women's deodorant
• New Men's and Women's underwear in various sizes
• New Men's and Women's long johns in various sizes
• Twin air mattresses

Beginning Dec. 8, vote for your favorite decorated tree! Twelve trees along Mt. Vernon Avenue have been adopted and decorated by area nonprofits. Voting will be open until 5 pm Christmas Day; and the winning nonprofit will receive a $500 donation from the Del Ray Business Association.
