SADDLE UP for First Thursday Join the Del Ray community for country themed activities (line dancing, bull roping, and mechanical bull), and our very own n Thursday, September 5th from 6pm to dusk along Mount Vernon Avenue.
This month’s featured non-profit is the Alexandria Police Foundation, which is dedicated to providing resources to the Alexandria Police Department to improve officer performance, morale, and effectiveness, and to ensure the care and well-being of its active and retired police dogs. The APF seeks resources and grants to build and strengthen police-community partnerships. Officers will be collecting new stuffed animals to provide comfort items for children in crisis; donations can be dropped off at the Pat Miller Neighborhood Square, located at the intersection of Mt. Vernon & Oxford Avenues.
